It was an inspiring evening honoring those committed to bringing awareness to health challenges and others changing the healthcare landscape in a meaningful way through science and technology.

With Fountain House, she founded Bring Change 2 Mind, a national anti-stigma campaign aimed at removing misconceptions about mental illness. It is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and the American Cancer Society estimates that in 2015 there will be 231,840 new cases diagnosed in women in the U.S. But statistics and reminders aside, when someone you know and love personally is stricken, it takes your awareness to a whole new level.
